Episode 2 - Day One
An alien addicted to sex is let loose on Cardiff's nightlife. Torchwood must track down the creature's new host and in doing so, confront a violent new form of love in the 21st century.
01. Goin' Bowlin'- 00.30
Gwen and Rhys go bowling at Hollywood Bowl, located in The Red Dragon Centre, located opposite the Wales Millennium Centre, home of 'The Hub'. Also located at The Red Dragon Centre is the Dr Who Exhibition.
02. Dinner Date- 01.22
After a spot of bowling Gwen and Rhys have dinner at Ask Pizza Restaurant located in Cardiffs Cafe Quarter of Mill Lane. This is where they see 'The Meteorite' in the sky and chase it (without paying the bill) down Wyndham Arcade. Mill Lane and Wyndham Arcade are located in the centre of Cardiff and can be found opposite the Marriott Hotel.
03. Crash Site- 02.50
From the image on the computer, it looks as though the location of the 'Crash Site' is Mountain Lakes Golf Club, just north of Cardiff. We're not sure if this is where they filmed the actual 'Crash Site' but it's well worth a visit. Take exit 32 on the M4, turn off at the last exit of the roundabout signed 'Tongwynlais', turn right at Lewis Arms past Castell Coch and it's three miles up the road on the left hand side.

"I can confirm the area where the crash site is filmed is the forest directly behind (and accessed from) Castell Coch. The crash crater is a cave opening known as the 3 bears. None of it is actually on the Moutain Lakes Golf Club land, and it can all be accessed by the public by following the footpaths through the forest from the castle. The actual 3 bears crater is about 5 metres from the main footpath, though it is (poorly) fenced off for safety and I am sure thousands of people walk past it every year and dont even see it =)"
04. The Nightclub - 28.32
'Minskys Show Bar' is the place where the Alien 'Sex Gas' attack takes place. The entrance shown in the show is on Charles Street, off Queen Street, whereas the main entrance is on Cathedral Walk.
05. Carys' Home- 37.39
The exterior establishing shot of Carys' home is Brook Street, located in the Riverside area of Cardiff. As you can see the Millennium Stadium is nearby, if you go to the back of the stadium and walk over Cardiff Bridge, turn left at the Westgate pub you should see Brook St on your left.
06. Chasing Carys- 32.56
When Gwen and Toshiko chase Carys after she escapes they go past various locations in Mermaid Quay. This shot, from Toshikos point of view, shows comedy venue The Glee Club.
07. Ooh La La- 34.56
After her escape from 'The Hub' Carys cannot escape sex, everywhere she looks she is faced with it. From advertising campaigns to a guy grabbing his girlfriends arse, she cannot escape. The two shots above from this sequence are set on the Hayes/Caroline Street, or 'Chippy Lane' as we locals know it. This location is round the corner from Ask, where Gwen and Rhys had dinner at the start of this episode. Just ask a friendly local where 'Chippy Lane' is and we guarantee you will be shown the way. If you stay the night, I can wholeheartedly recommend the 'Brady Special' at Kebab Land. Calorific goodness after a good nights drinking.
08. Eddies Place- 37.27
The birds eye aerial establishing shot suggests that Eddie's place is in Loudon Square a block of flats off Bute Street, in the Butetown area of Cardiff. Bute Street runs from the city centre to Cardiff Bay parallel to Lloyd George Avenue and Loudon Square can be found half way down.
09. Conway Clinic- 38.39
The team find out that Carys works as a receptionist at a fertility clinic, the Conway Clinic. The external shots of the clinic are set on Windsor Place, the same road that Buffalo Bar is on, a location from episode 1. The clinic is on the other side of the road to the Buffalo Bar and further up the opposite end of the road.
