A small passenger plane from the 1950's flies through the rift and lands in Cardiff 2006. Torchwood is drawn into strong personal relationships as they help the three temporal immigrants adapt to contemporary life.

John Ellis is dropped off at the Millennium Stadium's gate 3 on Westgate Street. One of the seven entrances to the stadium, gate 3 becomes a mass of people on match days. Opposite can be found great pubs such as The City Arms, and next door is the home to Cardiff Blues rugby club, another great place for a drink on match day.
