This only location in this episode is the fictional Ritz. The external shots were filmed in Merthyr Tydfil. The building is the Old Town Hall on High Street, but the team enter through the door on Newcastle Street.

The interior shots of the reception, bar and ballroom scenes for this episode where shot inside The Westgate Hotel, Newport City centre. It actually ceased being a hotel decades ago and was refurbished and was used as a night club up until a year or so ago. Now it is closed again. Shame really. The ballroom as you have seen in Torchwood is quite beautiful.
