When some burglars meet with an inexplicably gory end, the police call in Torchwood. The men's injuries are extensive but there's no sign of a weapon. The chief suspect, a woman named Beth, is taken back to the Hub where the team resort to rather brutal interrogation methods in an attempt to find out what she knows. Then, similar attacks begin across the city, and Jack realises that the entire planet is in danger.
01. Burglary - 02.02
Episode 2 begins with a burglary and unseen attack. Jack and the team arrive at the flats which were filmed at Cymric Buildings on West Bute Street.
02. Sleepers awake - 25.26
Paramedics are dealing with an injured man when one of them wakes up and leaves the scene. In the background you can see Mimosa Kitchen and Bar , a restaurant in Mermaid Quay, Cardiff Bay.
03. Sleepers awake - 25.43
A woman pushing her baby also wakes up and leaves the pram to run into the traffic. This was shot outside Classic Eyes, also in Mermaid Quay. See the map for exact locations
04. Petrol bomb - 31.37
The paramedic from earlier drives a petrol tanker underneath a flyover and plants a bomb on it. This takes place near Penarth Road, underneath the Grangtown Link.
05. Mother of all bombs - 31.37
The mother from earlier is seen walking down Westgate street. She enters a building and it blows up. This was filmed opposite Queens Vaults in a disused county court building (renamed as Telecommunications switching station and mobile switching centre). The BBC got into a bit of trouble at the time as it was soon after the Glasgow Airport terror attack. See the story here.
06. Hospital - 31.37
As Jack and Gwen leave the hospital you can read the sign outside which says City Cardiff Hospital. This was changed and the actual hospital used was St Cadocs in Caerleon, Newport.
